The 2025 Profound Autism Summit led by the Profound Autism Alliance and the Nashoba Learning Group will take place in Boston, Massachusetts, on April 10-11, bringing together autism community leaders from various fields to discuss the unique needs of profound autism. OAR is thrilled to sponsor and attend this important event. OAR staff members look forward to not only sharing information about OAR with attendees but to learning more about profound autism and how OAR can continue to support all members of the autism community.
Individuals with profound autism have high support needs and face intellectual challenges that impact their everyday lives. Providers, advocates, and family members supporting individuals with profound autism are invited to attend this year’s summit in person or virtually. Continuing education credits are available for board-certified behavior analysts, psychologists, and social workers.
Sixty speakers will participate, discussing topics such as trauma-informed care, augmentative and alternative communication, future planning, emergency preparedness, skill-based treatment, and more.
