Las Vegas to host 2025 DAV and Auxiliary National Convention

This year, DAV’s national convention heads to the largest city in Nevada and one of the fastest-growing areas in the country, Las Vegas. With over 40.8 million visitors in 2023, Las Vegas is one of the nation’s most popular vacation destinations.

The convention is an opportunity to advocate for ill and injured veterans, enjoy the camaraderie of fellow DAV members, and help shape the organization’s yearly agenda—while still managing to have a fun time.

Located in the Las Vegas Valley within the greater Mojave Desert, Las Vegas is an internationally renowned resort city, featuring gambling, shopping, fine dining and big-name entertainment. The city is known for its luxurious casino resorts and has more than 56 golf courses within 20 miles of the city limits.

Las Vegas is home to the largest glass pyramid; the largest hotel, with over 5,000 rooms; and one of the world’s tallest observation wheels, the 550-foot-tall High Roller.

Convention attendees will enjoy a special room rate at the Paris Las Vegas of $159 per single or double. Please note that upon booking your reservation, your credit card will be charged a deposit equal to the first night’s room and tax. This one-night deposit is nonrefundable.

The Paris Las Vegas is known for its half-scale replica of the Eiffel Tower at 541 feet tall, which is the tallest reproduction of the original.

 TRAVEL ASSISTANCE

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) can facilitate the screening of injured or wounded veterans. After making flight reservations, veterans (or their care coordinators) should contact a TSA Cares representative by calling toll-free 855-787-2227 weekdays from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. and weekends and holidays from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern time. A representative will either provide screening information relevant to the veteran’s disability or refer the veteran to experts at TSA for help through the screening process.
