In 2023, OAR and the Autism Intervention Research Network on Physical Health (AIR-P) awarded grants of up to $10,000 to organizations and community members to support the design, development, and distribution of information resources that aim to enhance the physical and mental health of autistic individuals.
These published resources cover a range of important topics for the autism community, such as improving healthcare experiences for autistic individuals, practicing social skills to help build meaningful relationships, and navigating applications for Medicaid and Social Security.

These role-play videos are perfect for any preteen, teen, or young adult looking to improve their social skills in a fun and interactive way. They can also be used to support educators implementing the PEERS® curriculum.
FEAT of Southern Nevada Media Resources
These online how-to videos help guide Nevada autism families applying for Medicaid and Social Security. Each video also includes information about local resources for families to seek further support and services. The videos are available in English and Spanish.
Georgia Autism Hub
This online resource hub helps families of young autistic children find useful tools, reliable information, and ways to connect with others. Families in Georgia can use this website to find local organizations that meet their support needs.
JeffCAN Visual Story Template
This interactive, web-based tool helps organizations, parents, and caregivers create customizable visual stories that support neurodiverse individuals attending community events. The resource contains a tutorial for creating a visual story and a link to the template in Canva.
Practical Strategies for Neuroinclusive Healthcare Across the Lifespan
This webinar provides practical strategies for both clinicians and patients to improve healthcare experiences. Clinicians can learn what they can do differently, and patients can get ideas for what to ask for.
Apply for the Next Grant Cycle
The Community Grant Competition recognizes the expertise of community members and aims to empower community stakeholders, such as autistic individuals, family members, and community organizations, to share their knowledge in order to improve health outcomes for autistic people.
Applications for the 2025 cycle are due April 21. This year, the maximum grant award has been increased to $15,000.
